If one folds the third dimension to travel through time, then it seems you couldn't know based on the time measurements we use precisely *when* they started. For example, they may have done it the first time for them in 1978, but travelled back to April 2, 1925 and did it there, then the 'first time' for the rest of us would have been in 1925, but the 'first time' for them would have been in 1978.
