Question for the Readers: In many cultures there is the promotion of an idea that a vagina is tightly tied to a concept of honour, either for the family or the woman. Is there a way in which the vagina can actually be an appendage on which we can base honour?
A vagina is the human organ via which I entered this world. My mother's vagina to be precise. Now, rationally, that means as little as a stone statue for a dead man. But on another level, it gives me the feeling I am indebted - to my mother in the first place, obviously - but somehow to the vagina in general (regardless of whether the woman bore children).
So, yeah, I think woman can base honour on the vagina.
The vagina as a monument for Life? Why not.
I don't know if this idea is related to various cultural ideas of the vagina and honour or how honour is linked to shame. Or how it is related with sex, so I leave it at this.
