The Sex Tech

Firstly, "tanderotica" is a word that I invented when I asked what the game was called where one person comes up with a line of a story and then the next person comes up with another and they work through several people slowly building a story as each contributes just one line at a time. Turns out it doesn't seem to have a name, but someone referred to it as "Tandem Writing"* which sounded so cool it triggered the current name. Tanderotica may be a great way for people to get good erotic ideas out there, have a little fun, use their imagination and speak openly about sexual habits that might otherwise not get brought out. The goal is to have fun and tell a story (of course) but even that kind of thing must have rules and stuff you should know:

1. Every contribution to Tanderotica must have no more than 140 characters. Contributions longer than that may be truncated before they are used or deleted.
2. The contributors must understand that any response they make to a place that is participating in tanderotica may be posted here on Sextech. Statements made by contributors, though, are owned by them (unless someone discovers they stole a quote or something), please do the intellectually honest thing if you quote a Tanderotica comment elsewhere and use a citation! Try refering to either the original quote or the quote here on sextech.
3. There are going to be multiple Tanderotica stories going on in multiple places at once. To start, there will be one here on sextech and one on the @TweetErotica feed (you will may find a widget of that on the right).
4. I will make the starting line of each Tanderotica posting. If you want to make a suggestion for a starting line, please let me know.
5. Remember that Tanderotica is an erotic story. This means we need both erotic elements and a story. Not every tanderotica post will reflect something sexual, some may tell part of the story. You may have someone who is about to undress for someone and they may be wearing some super-sexy clothes. These clothes are an important element of the context that the sexual activity may occur in. Oftentimes descriptions of such things are going to take more than 140 characters so you can't have sex in every sentence, you have to be creative and work with others in order to get those details out there and what you had in your mind may not be what others help build as an image. This is part of the fun of Tanderotica! Don't take it personally.
6. Tanderotica is going to be what is known as a taboos project. This means there are things that are big no-nos. There are multiple reasons for this which are mostly legal but may also be due to agreements with the powers that be here on Sextech (I am not the only power here, I'm just the only power here that you see, my partner is silent and keeps the site doing what I want it to and we are ever grateful to him for his dedication and cockiness). If a person's statement contains something that can't be posted here I may exclude it from the current story (I will delete it if it appears as a comment here on Sextech) without warning. If it is illegal in porn in the US, it would be best avoided in our Tanderotica stories. Meaning that anything that violates the Communications Decency Act can't be included. Remember that Sextech nor any site that we're writing Tanderotica on are actually porn sites. This is a site for adult humor, mild adult entertainment and sexual education. The most vital part of the law to remember is: if something contains things that are "patently offensive as measured by contemporary community standards, sexual or excretory activities or organs," it is a no-no here. Yes, this guideline is annoyingly ambiguous. If you think you're violating that clause, please either ask or modify your statement so that it no longer is in question. I don't control the law myself.
7. Don't forget the story aspect. Context doesn't matter in actual video porn but it *does* matter in things without pictures. Tell a story, get us all worked up, the sex will come naturally. Trust me on this, I'm a professional. To help you along, remember that the beginning of a story usually includes a location, a person or people, a time, a reason why that person is there at that time, peripheral details about all of that and a lead in to what is going to happen. THEN you can have the sexing!
8. Here's the catch. Since we have to follow the law, we can't have super explicit descriptions of what is going on. This means that our stories have to get really creative in how we present them. Describing a cumshot in detail is probably gonna be a no-no and get me into trouble and could get our stories on other sites deleted (since on the rest of the internet, we have to follow their rules too). Using euphemisms, however, is fun and workable. Use your imagination!
9. Follow the rules for any of the sites you are doing Tanderotica on.
10. Remember that you are responsible for your own words. I start the story and am responsible for my own. I'm only going to take accountability (in part) of your words if I decide they are awesome and should be reposted here on Sextech.

 Until I know how well this will go, I can't say exactly how frequently a new Tanderotica will be started and when they each will end. I also can't say how smoothly it will go. This means that rules and information are likely to be changed and updated after a few experimental trials. Please participate and give feedback here.
