No doubt people enjoy seeing other naked people. In fact, have them go at it and you’d get a crowd of watchers. So it comes as no surprise that human beings like watching porn. Around 90% of men and 31% of women watch porn. No biggie.
Pornhub partnered with Vocativ to breakdown the preferences of their users based on age and found out that our preferences evolve with age. That means that just cuz you searched for ‘Hot MILFs’ when you were 18 doesn’t mean that you are still into that when you’re 32 or even 65. And yes 65 year-olds are still watching porn. Which is actually great news. Don’t you want to know at that age you’ll still be going at it?
It comes as no surprise that the most enthusiastic age group is between ages 18 – 24; they make up 31% of Pornhub’s viewers and their favorite search term is… “Lesbian”, followed by “Step mom,” “teen,” “MILF,” and “Squirt.” Basically echoing the stereotype from any typical porn movie.
Next up we have the 25 – 34 year-olds who make up 30% of Pornhub’s viewership and who seem to have the same search habits as 18 – 24 year-olds except that this age group’s favorite search term is “Step mom”.
Age 35-44 make up 16% of Pornhub’s viewers with the same favorite search term as the previous age group, “step mom,” followed by “teen,” “MILF,” and “lesbian.” “Squirt” seems to have slid off the chart as viewers finally realize after all these years that, “No, the reality is that not all women squirt,” and with that have stopped searching for it (only took 44 years). Instead it is replaced by the search term, “Mom.” Interesting development!
As the viewer’s age rises, the search terms do change. We enter the next age bracket, 45 – 54 year-olds, who ditch “lesbians,” and “teen,” (thank god!) to replace it with “Japanese,” and “massage.” “Step Mom” still reigns supreme as the favorite search term in this age bracket. I believe I’m sensing a pattern here, and as far as I can see it seems like a pretty healthy one too. At least mums out there can rest assured that, yes, men find them attractive – at least in the context of porn anyway.
After 55 years, “Step mom” finally gets knocked off its pedestal to be replaced by “Massage.” Those in the 55 – 64 year-old bracket aren’t giving any shits. They’re not interested in giving, they just want to lean back and receive and why the hell not? “Cartoon” enters the most searched terms in this age bracket as well. Probably a throwback to earlier days when porn wasn’t that hardcore.
And finally we enter 65 and above, “Massage” still reigns supreme but “step mom” finally is kicked out altogether to be replaced by “granny”. We don’t know why “Japanese” is so alluring to the older crowd, but hey, whatever rocks their boat!
It’s important to note that this survey doesn’t measure user preference over time, so who’s to say that someone who loves squirting at age 24 might not carry this love over when they’re 44. It does seem that the preferences of the older generation do reflect in some way what was deemed sexy back when they were younger, like “Cartoons”, so it will be interesting to see how those in the younger age brackets will develop over time.
