workout-21

In the gym it’s easy to focus on just upper body workouts, especially since that’s the most easily noticeable when people see you. However, you don’t want to end up with the chicken-leg syndrome most men get, where they have a well built upper body and skinny, weak ass legs. You want strong muscular legs to help support your body. On top of that, a lot of people underestimate the importance of the gluteal muscles. Weak glutes can cause lower back, hip, knee and foot pain. So check out these great lower body workouts to gain mass in different levels of intensity.

Starting Slow

I do love the guys from HASfit with their simple-and-easy-to-do-at-home-but-still-gives-you-a-great-workout videos. Here Coach Kozak shows you 4 different exercises to workout your legs including one for your calves.

Building your legs with Kettlebells

It’s amazing what you can do with the humble kettlebell. Sylvia Ferrero shows you 2 different methods to workout your legs using only kettlebells. They look simple, but trust me you will feel the burn.

Don’t forget the calves

Building strong, big calves can be difficult, but follow Preston Noble’s workout to get his awesome calves! This is a pretty intense workout even though it might look lightweight. Enjoy!

Building Massive legs

I am a huge fan of the Buff Dudes videos. They always seem to be having a great time making these videos. Here Brandon shows you 4 great leg workouts along with the correct way to do them. Get working!

Ending Strong

In this video Ian Lauer shows you some heavy duty leg workouts to help build massive, strong legs. He just turned pro in the IFBB so he knows what he’s talking about!

I hope these workouts help you build your lower body. You don’t have to do them all at once, and while I encourage you to push yourself, remember to also be careful not to hurt yourself. Good luck! And let us know how it goes!
