Are Tuesdays & Thursdays The New Blowjob Days?

Since the successful launch of their educational blowjob video series in late 2014, TheArtofBlowjob has decided to branch out and create updates that would prop up the videos with additional information by venturing into the world of written erotica. Yep, they’re adding yet another element to their appreciation of the oral arts by offering the public free articles and erotica on the art of blowjob. Vice president and resident sex educator Sophie Delancey explains,

One of our main focuses on the site will be to bridge the gap from our educational series to real world experiences. You can know all about every blowjob technique, tip and trick under the sun and still have no idea how to get or give them in your life. This comes down to communication. We often discuss communication in the context of giving/getting feedback before, after or during a blowjob, but there’s a lot of other forms of communication that help relationships, more casual encounters or anything in between.

The site will be updating with sensual blowjob-focused erotica every Tuesday and sexuality advocacy articles every Thursday. So you know what that means – time to get comfy and self-pleasure!

But seriously though, because of the popularity of the educational videos – a much needed set of learning (it’s always good to have a skill, eh?) – it has opened the doors to having an open dialogue on oral sex. It’s great to read articles in women’s magazines about how to give a blowjob, but a different story when you actually have to give one.

The site is also going to concentrate on creating a safe space to focus on men’s issues around their own self-esteem and body image. They’ve found that there’s a resistance to talking about this issues, but once men feel able to open up, they’ll often expose a lot of insecurities and doubt stemming from our cultural expectations for masculinity and virility. By sparking a dialogue to be furthered in social media and on the blogs, they’ve decided to become beacons of permission — a term coined by sex educator Kate McCombs.

Interestingly enough the idea to emphasize on erotica came from the positive response they got from readers who love reading the long erotic descriptions that accompany videos and photo sets. Company president Mike Flirt says: “We got so many emails, comments and tweets saying that people really liked the descriptions, sometimes coming back just to read them again. We were writing them so non-members could read them and join to see the video updates, but members were enjoying them in and of themselves. It makes sense to include erotica on the site, as it’s another artistic way of appreciating blowjobs.”

The erotica which will be equal parts fantasy and reality will come from personal experiences of the writers as well as from real scenarios submitted by readers.

Erotica writer Sophie Delancey explains: “I’ve always been inspired by true sexual stories. I co-produce a sexy storytelling event and podcast, so hearing other people talk about their exploration and adventures is so exciting to me. I’m happy to be sharing them, in addition to creating more fantastical pieces.

Now this is something I can get behind. Can’t wait to read more!
