Christian Bale Set to Play Steve Jobs

Well it’s confirmed, Christian Bale is set to play Steve Jobs in the upcoming movie on the Apple co-founder’s life (no this one has nothing to do with Ashton Kutcher). The movie is based on Walter Isaacson’s 2011 biography on Jobs.

Aaron Sorkin, who is adapting the screenplay from the book, is excited to have Bale onboard and said that he didn’t have to audition to get the part. Well, Bale certainly has the right level of intensity and prickliness to play Jobs, who was famous for being a genius difficult to work with.

Conan O’Brien was so thrilled at the news that his team procured an early sneak preview clip of Christian Bale as Jobs in the upcoming, yet to be filmed movie. Check it out:

I think Bale nailed it. I mean, his intensity was spot on and he totally nailed the flat, gravelly, emotionless voice that Jobs was so famous for. I didn’t quite get the Batsuit, but hey! I didn’t finish reading the book either, so perhaps there was a part of Jobs life that I didn’t know about. I mean, there was a period of time he left Apple and did god knows what (probably plot his revenge). Either way, I can’t wait for the movie!
