Men's Rights Activists Want You To Boycott The New Mad Max

Guys, I don’t know how to break the news to you, but it seems that some of your folk have an issue with the newly released Mad Max: Fury Road. It would seem that they’re afraid that watching the movie might turn them… into raging feminists! Let’s check out the trailer shall we?

Well color me intrigued. I can’t wait to watch the movie!

In a blog post on their website Return of Kinds, Aaron Clarey is calling for men to boycott the movie because of its feminist propaganda – no link to the website, because NO. But you do get an excerpt:

“Because if they sheepishly attend – and ‘Fury Road’ is a blockbuster – then you, me, and all the other men (and real women) in the world will never be able to see a real action movie ever again that doesn’t contain some damn political lecture or moray about feminism, SJW-ing, and socialism.

[…] men in America and around the world are going to be duped by explosions, fire tornadoes, and desert raiders into seeing what is guaranteed to be nothing more than feminist propaganda, while at the same time being insulted AND tricked into viewing a piece of American culture ruined and rewritten right in front of their very eyes.”

Apparently he figured it out through his spidey senses when Eve Ensler (author of The Vagina Monologues) was called in to consult the female actresses on what it is like to be a sex slave. Sorely disappointed he called Hollywood a “garbage propaganda machine which spews out this feminist drivel filth.” Aww someone didn’t get their pacifier. Feeling the need to mansplain more he wrote: “Even though science has told us and proven that men are physically stronger than women, it is nonetheless discarded by the forces driving this feminist nonsense.” Wow, I’m glad he busted out the science though I’m not sure my girly brain is ready for it. I’d better sit down…

… sit down and watch Mad Max! Thanks for the movie recommendation, bro!

At least we know the rest of the world thinks that the movie is awesome. As Slate’s Dana Stevens puts it: “Come for the feminist empowerment, stay for the tricked-out nightmare doomcars.” Hell yeah!
