TV Station Fined After Airing Porn Clip

A Roanoke TV station will be feeling more than a little out of pocket after being fined a massive $325,000 for accidentally broadcasting a few seconds of pornography across their airwaves from a feature aired THREE YEARS AGO.

The Virginia outfit was stung 36 months after reporting on ex-adult star Harmony Rose and her attempts to become a volunteer EMT for rescue teams in the region. The trouble began when WDBJ (perhaps the most fitting name of all time in the circumstances) accidentally allowed a three-second clip of Ms Rose coming to grips with something to be shown on screens. In their report the FCC stated: “The clip aired for approximately three seconds and thus its duration was not so brief as to preclude an indecency finding. Moreover, we find that the duration of the material was sufficient to attract and hold viewers’ attention; several complainants note that they viewed the material perfectly well.”

Now, as a result, WBDJ has been hit with the biggest fine given in regards to the airing of indecent material. Talk about being cockblocked…
