Do you remember those 80s commercials for Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups? That is exactly what I felt when I heard about Foria.

That’s right, ladies and gentlemen, it’s lube that contains medical marijuana. Because some people do have great ideas that were just sitting in front of us the whole time!

According to their website, Foria’s formula is “a first of its kind all natural sensual enhancement oil thoughtfully designed for women – a blend of nourishing liquid coconut oil and lab-tested cannabis oil from California-grown marijuana.”

Introducing the First Medical Marijuana Lube

While it might be “designed for women” and be advertised in classy fashion as a therapeutic aphrodisiac, I can’t possibly be the only one who went straight for the edible properties of the product.

Right?!

But of course women are the big winners with this product (especially if you’re practicing safe sex.) The membrane of the vagina is highly absorbent – much more than the penis membrane – and it becomes particularly sensitive to drugs being introduced that way.

The preliminary testing showed different results; after all, arousal works in different ways depending on who’s taking it, and the experience will vary from person to person. Having said that, some of the general feedback included a much heightened sensation, increased clitoral blood flow, tingling, warmth and relaxation. Some people found it easier to reach orgasm. Others found their moments of climax to be longer and more intense.

Many of the effects will depend on the usual stuff you should be aware of when consuming weed. How you apply it and how much, your THC tolerance, if you ate recently, etc. However, many of the women who used it topically didn’t report being quite “high”, but instead just found the effects to be subtly enhancing their sexual pleasure.

And for those of you – like me – who are particularly interested in the oral intake (preferably after the topical application on your partner), you are obviously much more likely to experience the usual effects of an edible cannabis-based product. The fact that this is also 100% natural liquid coconut oil and THC oil makes it all the more inviting.

Now, before you get all excited and order tons of this stuff, please know that – at least for the time being – Foria is only available to residents of California with a physician statement and recommendation letter for the use of medical marijuana; although it will also be available in Colorado and Washington in the summer and fall of 2014. But the times are changing fast, guys! I’m sure availability will spread soon enough, and in the meantime, I’m happy to live in a world that combines two wonderful things in one product.
