Porn is not a lasting career for most, but a few legends stick around for a solid chunk of years. Having said that, no one can stay forever. Sometimes it’s a tragic story, or simply Father Time taking over. Some others just found smashing success and didn’t have to do porn anymore. Here’s a list of 10 porn stars that are sadly not making new movies anymore.

Jenna Haze

Perhaps the industry’s most popular actress in the 2000s, Jenna won numerous awards and is still very active as a director and producer, but decided to retire as a performer in 2012. She’s still in early 30s, so we can still hope a comeback might be in order.

Chasey Lain

This gorgeous blue-eyed bombshell starred in several of the biggest features of the 90s. She came back in the early aughts for a couple of years and stayed active in the business through her production company.

Ginger Lynn

One of the unquestionable queens of the 80s. Ginger was a tireless performer that graced many guys’ VHS collections and became even more famous when she dated Charlie Sheen in the early 90s. She had a porn comeback in the late-2000s, though it was sadly short-lived.

Marilyn Chambers

Known for the 1973 classic Behind the Green Door, and one of the most successful adult stars to crossover into mainstream, Marilyn came back to porn during the 80s and reinvented herself as a very toned MILF (way before the term MILF was popular.) Chambers died in 2009, but she was still pretty hot, even at 56.

Annette Haven

One of the most beautiful porn actresses of all-time. Annette actually had some thespian chops and starred in nearly 100 feature adult films through the 70s and 80s. This mysterious brunette will forever be missed in the industry.

Sasha Grey

The youngest on this list, but with a body of work that rivals anyone’s. Sasha managed to crossover not only to mainstream Hollywood, but is also a successful author and musician. She shot her last porn movie at the age of 21 and officially retired in 2011.

Ashlyn Gere

In a reverse trajectory, Ashlyn was known as Kimberly Patton, a working actress in several B-movies during the 80s. In 1990 she turned to porn, and appeared in nearly 200 titles for over a decade. She won several AVN Awards during the 90s.

Asia Carrera

This smoking half-Japanese and half-German babe turned many heads (and other body parts) for over 10 years. Her exotic looks made her of the biggest names in the 90s, and was the first Asian performer to win the AVN Female Performer of the Year Award.

Bree Olson

Perhaps more famous to the average person as one of Charlie Sheen’s “goddesses,” this cute and bubbly blonde was very active from 2006 till her early retirement in 2011. She was one of the most popular Penthouse Pets and was one of the most public porn stars of her era.

Jenna Jameson

Come on, she’s the most famous porn star of all-time; she can’t be left off this list! Jenna’s the model of a self-made business woman in the industry, and her autobiography spent several weeks in the New York Times Best Seller List. She remains a very public figure in adult entertainment.
