Porn legend Cytherea is returning to the fold only months after she and her family were the victims of a horrifying home invasion and sexual assault.
The star – long-known as the ‘Squirt Queen’ thanks to her rather specific, glistening talent – made the announcement via YouTube late last week. As she tells her off-camera interviewer, the shoot will be an interracial one filmed in Las Vegas. No other details were given but it’s heartening to see a much-loved performer head back into the game after such a traumatising few months.
Cytherea’s return also has a socio-political message behind it. As she states in the video, the perpetrators of that heinous crime happened to be black and she wants to show that “it’s not the color, but the person.” In a nation divided by strong racial fault lines it’s a very bold move and statement to make.
Cytherea and her family were the subjects of a terrifying ordeal at the hands of 18-year-old Qumaire Rainey, 18, Edward London, 17, and Casey Franks, 16. The three arrested suspects were finally apprehended the following day after another home invasion occurred. The three men have since been indicted and will face trial as adults from July 27th.
Fleshbot reports that a fourth defendant, Latoine Morris, 21, was arraigned April 16 in connection with the case as well. All four defendants have pleaded not guilty.
Cytherea chose very bravely to waive her legal right to lifelong anonymity as a victim of sexual assault, uploading a frank and intimate video in which an evidently still shocked Cytherea tells those watching to stay safe and vigilant.
For now, let’s look to the future and welcome Cytherea back to the biz. Let’s make her return as fun, safe and reassuring as possible, hey?
