Smartphones are really making it a lot easier for us to keep track of our health and wellness what with all the cool apps they have to help you track, remember, be informed, teach and lots more. We’ve decided to collect the essential five top health and fitness apps you need to have on your phone in order to keep you healthy and wise!
Daily Burn
One of my favorite apps right now. I use both the desktop and the smartphone version. For a monthly membership of $10 you’ll have access to a variety of workouts, which include Cardio, HIIT, Tactical Bodyweight Workouts, Kettlebells, Dance and many more. The good people at Daily Burn have also come up with other apps to support this app: DailyBurn Ignite – Food Journal and DailyBurn Tracker.
Sleep Cycle Alarm Clock
Good sleep is uber important for your health and weight loss. Sleep Cycle Alarm clock actually tracks your sleep pattern and wakes you up during your lightest sleep phase. It comes complete with charts and graphs and costs only $0.99!
Health Tap
Never again wonder about your health questions. With this app you get more than one specialist to answer your questions regarding symptoms, share health scans, schedule appointments and more. (Free)
Foodily
Eating healthy and clean is a big component in being healthy. With Foodily (Free) you can browse for recipes (by ingredients), get tips from top chefs and also share you own creations online. A great way to keep track of your meals.
Instant Heart Rate
It is always a good idea to monitor your heart rate while working out. Not only will it keep you informed but it’ll keep you safe as well. With this nifty little app you can monitor your heart rate using the camera of your smartphone (Free).
We’re sure there are lots more awesome apps out there. Especially for workouts not covered here (namely running), but these apps will start you off nicely and keep you going. If you keep it up your health and fitness will be top form. Good luck! And let us know if you have any great health and fitness apps that have helped you. Sharing is caring!
Stronglifts is another good one!
